Introduction

In order to capture consent, an energy consumer needs to accept the Terms and Conditions. Terms and Conditions acceptance is a key component of the Smart Meter Onboarding process.

When the Terms and Conditions are presented to the energy consumer depends on your unique consumer journey, but acceptance is required to complete the onboarding process. The identifier of the Terms and Conditions (tcId) accepted by an energy consumer is required to submit the registration call for onboarding the energy consumer at the end of the Smart Meter Onboarding process.

Calling and presenting current Terms and Conditions

To get the Terms and Conditions identifier (the tcId) to submit for the registration calls, call the Glow Content Management System to return the application's current terms and conditions.

Within the Developer Portal, you can set the text and fields to be displayed and version control the terms and conditions such that they are available for the audit process. Login to the Developer Portal and navigate to Content in the menu then select Terms and Conditions.

You can create new Terms and Conditions, and when you do so, your energy consumers will be prompted to accept them.

The reference can be found in the Developer Portal where the application T&Cs are found.

This request will result in a positive response containing a JSON object to be formatted and presented to the end user via a front end.

The tcId should be used to indicate the terms and conditions accepted by the end user.

Historic Terms and Conditions API

This API will return a list of all the Terms and Conditions that the queried energy consumer has ever responded to.

Response

The response will be a list of all the references of the documents that the energy consumer has responded to.
